Winter Storm
The other day we had a winter storm
and got several inches of snow. That
meant that the day after the snow, it was time to explore and see what wintry
sites we could find!!
As we started out, it was kind of nice to view trees alongside a country road not traveled terribly much, and some old flower blooms frozen by the storm.
There are a couple of trees along one of the side roads we generally drive down. I really like this one because it’s so perfectly proportioned. The bare branches also are nicely silhouetted against the lovely blue sky on this morning! Can you see the nest in the tree?
What a lovely winter landscape!! I’ve always liked this windmill and it looks especially picturesque against the snow-covered mountains in the background. There’s no snow on the field in between because the wind has blown it away!
It may not look like it from this angle, but this barn is part of an active farm! I just liked the look of the weathered wood with the snow on top and around it.
And, here we are, back home, looking out from our back patio to those same mountains, just a bit closer!! Snow here is generally well-behaved, so as I’m writing this, most of the snow is gone – it’s only around in the shady areas!
Enjoy!
