Saturday Show

Sometimes, the journey begins before you’ve left home, as was the case this past Saturday.  Mother Nature put on quite the show around sunset, and then later delivered on the promise of rain!!  Take a look at the show!

Here you can see the sunset competing with the storm clouds to give us a bit of a combo show.  I never tire of standing on our back patio and having a front row view of a show produced by Mother Nature!

It truly is stormy weather, and this sort of looked a bit like the eye of the storm, although it wasn’t as serious a storm as one that would have an eye.  But, it was trying!

The sunset isn’t giving up without a fight, and this image is a wonderful mix of the two.  It really demonstrates how big the sky is here in New Mexico, too!  Those tiny little mountains are actually about 8600 feet in elevation!

This seems to be the perfect mix.  In the distance, you can see clear skies, as the storm hasn’t reached there yet.  In the foreground clouds, the sunset is trying to put on a show of its own, and in the center, storm clouds which delivered rain shortly after I took this image!
